NL COALITION AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING INC. LAUNCHES WEBSITE
The NL Coalition Against Human Trafficking Inc. is pleased to unveil its official website and new logo. Launching on National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, January 11th, key education, government and community partners will be present as the Coalition showcases their online presence. The website’s primary objective is to raise public awareness and education about human trafficking and aims at helping to create a network of contacts so that victims of human trafficking can be identified and supported.
“Human trafficking is one of the fastest growing global criminal enterprise, known as modern day slavery and it is happening in this province” says Dolly Sweetapple, Chair of the Coalition. “It is a serious crime that affects the most vulnerable members of society.”
Coinciding with the launch of the NL Human Trafficking Coalition Inc. website, presentations are being held in various schools in the St. John’s area educating youth on the many faces of human trafficking during National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
The NL Coalition Against Human Trafficking Inc. website launch will be held on Monday, January 11th at 10:00 am at The College of the North Atlantic, Prince Phillip Drive campus.
